MAF and VaraRam
I've been having a small inconsistancy when I slow down to a stop. About half the time the car would have to be stopped for a couple of seconds and the idle would come down 200 rpms to normal. I thought it was the cam or TB and have been trying to tune it out. Yesterday I cleaned the air filter and noticed the MAF was about 1/8" of seating at the bottom of the box lid. I found I needed to shim the airbox an inch to get it to line up flush with the MAF. It's amazing. The problem is gone and it idles better than ever. Besides the seating of the MAF being important, it seems the screen can be important to air being measured properly as many argue. :steering:
