Someone can maybe help me please! I just need to know the best way to install the driver side headers....I remove the alternator, the coils... but I do not have enough room to slip the headers from the top! Could I remove only the front motor mount to have more space? Does not make any damage on the trans shaft? or ???
Thanks in advance

Re: SLP long tube headers installation help! (Stanbochet)
You've got to remove the front bolt on the steering shaft. Start by removing the cone shaped plastic cover then loosen bolt and swing out of the way. Do not turn steering wheel while it is disconected or it is hard to realign.
If that dosn't work the more beer and a bigger hammer

Stanbochet,
I completed my own SLP install 3 weeks ago on my 2001. If you have any questions email me at jeanluc@houston.rr.com and I can give you detailed input, etc.
Removing the steering link is the right way to install the driver's side. Both headers go in from the top, not the bottom. You will have to do a lot of wiring modifications to the passenger side or the header will burn thru them. I am currently writing up a new set of instructions for SLP and TByrne with photos, etc as their instructions are inadequate.
