I bought a smooth air duct coupler from MidAm for my '98 coupe and have had a real tough time installing it with my Blackwing. I just can't get the rear clamp to hold... as a matter of fact, I busted the clamp! :mad I've done a lot of other mods, but this stupid thing is driving me crazy. Any pointers would be appreciated.
Oh, so you've experienced the utter aggravation of getting the damn coupler on the throttle body! Congratulations! Welcome to the Blackwing club!
I know that doesn't help, but man, oh man, is it aggravating getting the coupler on. After getting mine on, I called WestCoastCorvettes and asked what was I doing wrong. It shouldn't have been that hard. It was a funny answer in a way "Well, we know the couplers are tight, but the ones in stock have to be used up before new looser ones are sent out." Hey, I got it on, and I did get a great price on the PRT's, Blackwing, and Carbon fiber power duct from them, so I wasn't mad about it. Just a little aggravated.
