Default turning rotors

I am going to have my rotors turned tomorrow, I was wondering what tools were needed to take them of. I dont really have any tools and need to borrow them and only wanted to make one trip to the garage.
Thanks,
John :seeya

After pulling the wheels, you will need to remove the 2 banjo bolts to get the calipers off the rotor - don't let the hydraulic line hold the caliper - then there are retainer brads on 1 lug of each wheel that you will need pliers to remove. After that, the rotors should just pull off, with a little elbow grease.

Why are you turning the rotors? Turning will not fix a warped rotor. The turning process removes metal, less metal = more likely to warp again.

He is refering to the bolts that hold the Caliper mounting bracket to the hub. There are two bolts per bracket. They are Byitch to get off as they are torqued to 125 ftlbs. You will need a breaker bar, rubber mallet and a soft wire brush. Use the bar to loosen the bolts, it helps on the fronts to turn the hub out. Use the mallet to loosen the rotor and the brush to clean corossion off the hub. You will also need high temp loctite for the bolts again and a good thread cleaner/chaser to make sure they are clear. Then put a little on each bolt / don't loose the washer / and retorque to 125 ftlbs.

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but why don't you just take the car to the shop and let them take the rotors off? Btw, I grew up in Albany many, many moons ago. Is it still the garden spot it used to be? ;)
