Default Code P0101 C with these symptoms..

Below is my previous post. This is a MAF system code, any suggestions to look for? Might be key that there was little smoke/burnt smell drifitng up over my Blackwing. I haven't cleaned the Blackwing, maybe has 12-15000 miles on it. Is that possible cause of sudden problems.

"After coming off the highway, sitting at the light the car starts to search for idle and then drops to where I give her gas to keep it running. Now I'm only 2 miles from home so I baby her back through the residential section. Any stops and idle drops right off but I am now noticing a little stumbling, running without the full "8cyl feel". Now I get home and shut it down, pop hood, smelling something cooking but can't pinpoint. I checked the plug wires thinking maybe I fried a wire on the headers but it looks fine. THere is a little smoke coming from the nose of the car, kind of drifting over the Blackwing. No smoke from the exhaust.
ANy suggestions? how do you get these codes that people mention? Should I fire it up or not?

Mods are below, car has 23000 miles on it. I changed the oil when I put it on the road last week. All fluids looked good on the gauges. Oil pressure was dipping a bit to 35psi but I associated that with the idle drifting down to the 400RPM range. Coolant was 200'ish with outside temps about 55 degrees. No warnings on my DIC.

The plugs are original. I'm not the best of mechanic or diagnoser but thinking to my snowmobiling or motorcycle days I would first assume a plug fouled out with the action of the car. I don't know though.

I know it is a Sunday but I hope there are some gearheads around to give me some feedback.

THanks, Lance "

TTT

When searching the archives for this same code I have seen a few different results. Some where not what I want to here and others never followed up with specifics.

I'm hoping it is something simple with the MAF area due to the code. What could have caused the smoke drifting up and over the blackwing when the hood was up. I can't see anything under there, but this appears too coincidental to have the light smoke/burnt smell. Is there any wires under the blackwing or something that could have burnt in that area causing the symptoms mentioned above?

Car has not been started since...:(

Any ideas?
