2000 coupe

I have a 2000 coupe with 13K on the odometer. The engine just seems to be loud. Is this normal?

Did it all of a sudden become louder one day, or has it been loud since you owned it??

What do you mean by "loud"? The exhaust? Something in the engine itself? What kind of sound is it? I have a 2000 couple and there is nothing loud about the engine itself.

The engine itself. Sounds maybe like a belt?

I just bought the vette from a chevy dealership. It only has 13k on it. But it seems to be alot louder from the engine bay. Compared to my 94 vette or even my 2003 Z71 truck. Is the LS1 just a lot louder or something?

Nope, the engine isn't louder. My 2000 has 36K on it and it makes no noise at all. Does the engine have any mods on it that you know of?

Was there any recalls on your 2000? And does the air conditoner button always stay on, even when the heater is blasting?

Only recall would have been the Column Lock system if your VIN# falls in a certain range.

The A/C compressor will always run if the outside temperature is over 39 degrees. You can manually shut it off by pressing the A/C button. Sometimes it won't let you shut it off if you select the defrost button.
