Default Weird headlight problem

Last night I turned on the headlights and they would not pop up on the first try. After three tries they finally popped up, but the voltage gauge dropped to 10 volts and the headlights blinked on and off for about five seconds. After about 20 seconds the voltage was back to 13.7 and the headlights worked normally. I then turned them on and off five times without any problems. Has anyone had this happen? I thought that it may be the switch, but the drop in voltage and the blinking lights make me wonder. Any ideas? :chevy

Make sure that none of your headlight and fog light bulbs are burned out, and clean all of the contacts where the bulbs plug in. There is an amazing amount of interconnection between the bulb circuits and how the headlight doors operate, etc. When replacing my stock headlights with the Euro lights (and installing driving lights) I noticed a bunch of weird things until I had everything connected.

Good luck!

I had the same problem with my 98 and it turned out to be the battery terminals were not tight.
So I charged my battery and tightened everything and never had a problem again.
Hope this helps.
