Default Why does my car DIE?

Why, after a Matrix One package, does my car die at low speeds, most frequently when reversing out of the garage. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong here?

We've switched out the computers a couple times and nothing changed. I even took it to MTI in Houston and they said it was normal.

Now, don't kill me, but whenever I valee (I don't go in until they are out of the car) or when anyone else drives 80% of the time THEY kill it also.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Sorry, but I'm at a loss. :nopity I know I know. But I have to ask.

What's a Matrix One package? Manual or Automatic? What other mods?

Basically that's it, just the Matrix One. Look on the website for a list.

Oh, I forgot to add that it's a Six-Speed.

What is your car idling at? Does it die out going forward?

Would you describe what is happening as searching for idle?

I may have an idea but would like some confirming information before I make a suggestion.

Chuck

BTW how long have you had the package installed and do you have any mods to your throttle body?

The car DOES die out going forward but going forward I can give it gas to get it going. It won't die once it's going (stop signs, traffic lights, etc..)
The car is idling at around 950 but sometimes when I turn on the car it bobs up and down from 1000 down to 300 or 400 and takes awhile to settle in to 950. This is when it'll die if I take off.

I've had the package installed for a few years, and it's done it the whole time. No mods other than the Matrix One package on my website or http://www.spectergtr.com

Thank you so much for even reading this.

Joel,

Check this thread out.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=544788

Since you have had this problem since the matrix one package install it may apply and may be worth looking into at least.

Only difference between your symptoms and mine is that my car would stall out anytime I was at idle.

Could be my car was not warmed up enough but for sure the hole in the TB plate worked for me.

Please note - you can do a search on this subject and see an ongoing debate whether tuning can take place of drilling hole or not.

It worked for me so I am happy.

Best of luck to you.

Chuck
