Has anyone ever had problems with the PCM. I got one that has gone haywire. There is a Gov Mandated 8yr/80,000 Coverage on it, but the dealer wants to hear nothing of it. "Thats not what the computer tells me" is all I can get out of the 30 Pack Cowboy they call the service manager. Getting multiple codes, low engine power, erratic fuel gage, traction control lights, tire pressure guage is off, and all the gizmos go biszirk. Wow.... cant wait to sell this car.
The battery may have leaked acid -- and the PCM is right underneath it. The corrosion may be causing poor connectivity of the wiring harness. I caught my battery leak right in time, if I didn't I would hate to have seen the results.
You may also have a loose ground, or loose battery cables.
I have heard about the 80k mile warranty on the PCM, you may want to call chevy customer service at 800-chevusa -- there is also a GM customer service number they can give you.

:withstupid: The damage has already probably been done, and it won't be covered by the emissions warranty if it's a direct result of a leaky battery.
