Default Roller Rockers question

I was talking to a friend of mine about putting RRs on my vette. What are the stock ratio rockers on a 97? 1.6? What type of gains would be seen by going to 1.8, and would any other mods other then hardened rods and stiffer springs be needed? How much would the gas consumption change? Sorry for all the Qs thanks for any answers.

Stock rockers are 1.7's... Crane offers a set of 1.8 rollers and I believe SLP offers just a stock-style set of 1.85s. The most I have ever seen a set of increased ratio roller rockers give a LS1 is around 10rwhp. I think you would be best off to spend the money on a camshaft, which does the same thing and more, and would get you 30+rwhp.

As far as durability, the stock rockers do VERY well. Most of the guys, such as myself, running stroker motors, still run the stock rocker arms.
