Default Cool motor at Pocono

I ran my car at Pocono this weekend. I was very pleased to see the temperature results with the DRM radiator and integeral oil cooler. It was about 75 degrees on Sunday. I was running it very hard and keeping it in the upper RPM band from 4000-6500 during most of the sessions which are 20-25 minutes. The highest temps I saw were 192 water and 220 oil. If I didn't have it I would have been in the 290's with the oil like last year and even 310 which I saw on occassion. With the motor running so cool I burned an unmeasureable amount of oil. The new motor has about 2500 miles on it and making over 450 RWHP from the Vette Doctors. I never added a drop. I was shocked  I'll post more in the road racing section later this week. The diff and tranny cooler from DRM worked great to. The Vette Doctors added a massive power steering cooler to keep that temperature under control as I boiled that last year too. Car was fast even though I was off for a year. There was one car faster down the straights which was a World Challenge car with a 383 stroker and about 2800 lb. I would guess. I would catch up on the infield and then fall back a bit on the straight. I talked to the owner about the great fun we just had. There was another C5 which was silver stuck to my rear quite a bit also. He had a circular number on the door which may have been 12 but I didn't find him. I wanted to thank him for some great competition. Hats off to both of them it was great fun. Now back to the mods to stay ahead of one and try to catch the other. :chevy

Sounds like a blast John:cheers: Anymore "cooling" products you can add to that car?
What kind of speeds do you reach on the straights and how long is the course they have you running on? Geesch...you'd have to run a ton of 1/4's to get that much seat time at speed.
