First the box is stapled shut tighter than a gnats azz. Once you break the barrier of 25 staples you then have to contend with the expandable foam packaging. Once through that you get the treasure inside.
Once you pull this out you have to get a utility knife to cut the shrink wrap. I might be willing to give $20 to anyone who could open this with their bare hands. REALLY thick stuff.
Then here is what you get. I didn't bother posting pics of the perfect welds on the over the axle pipes. Just wasn't thinking straight. They go on Wednesday so I'll report my findings.

PS. I'm crossing my fingers these bad boys sound AWESOME.

Can you say RESONANCE? BIG TIME...
Yea, I heard them & drove with them.. (finally)...
My head is still buzzing... uggggggg
(sorry bro..) :nonod:
???? This is a new one by me. I have had these on my car for several months and I don't have a resonance problem....even after I added LT Headers. Like any exhaust there are ranges of rpm and engine load that sound better then others....But, They sound great to me. Nice deep rumble...that never gets too loud. :D
Re: What do Tubi's look like when you get them? (BodaciousBlue)
I bought a set and received them last Friday. They are going on tomorrow, but they didn't come with any instructions. Does anyone know how much to torque the clamps? Would 40 lb/ft be good? I have e-mailed Toni at Mensi, but since I received the exhaust they have not returned my e-mails
Re: What do Tubi's look like when you get them? (jngoldin)
Give TINO a call. He always answers the phone, at least for me. You also have to remember they don't sell automotive parts as the primary source of income for their business. He only does it because he is passionate about the product. I've emailed a number of vendors only to sit and wait for a repsonse that never comes. This includes reputable places such as Lingenfelter and MTI. I'm certain it's nothing personal and totally unrelated to the fact that you've already paid for your exhaust.
Having said that, factory torque specs should be adequate.

Ok, I will go with 40 then. I just received an e-mail from Tino, who apologized for not getting back to me right away. He said that no specs were published but he talked to the factory, and they seemed to think 35-40 was good.
I will post my impression when I have them installed tomorrow.
