When trying to turn on my headlights, it takes a few seconds for them to pop up, if not - I have to play around with the stalk to get them to popup. Even if they do popup, the lights sometimes do not turn on. Any ideas guys?

It may not relate but... I only drive my vette on weekends. I was starting to have problems with my lights not popping up/not coming on. Someone suggested since I drive the car infrequently the initial pop up/turn on sequence takes a lot of power to do so and drains the battery. I turned off my Twilight Sentinel, the gizmo that automatically turns on the lights at dusk/turns them off at daylight, and have only used the stalk switch since. I have not had a problem since then. As an added benefit the lights don't pop up inside the garage every time I start the car. Hope this helps.

I'd say for the same reasons that cruzer speaks of - not enough battery juice. My battery terminal ate itself, so I had problems slowly generating - never put them together until after I replaced the battery.

Doesn't the alternator supply the power to the vehicle when the car is on anyways? Is it possibly a bad ground or power wire around the headlight? Ideas?

. . .PeteMy battery is actually brand new....why would a battery affect the headlights not popping up?
I agree with the others, it could well be a power issue. Since your battery is new, double check that the connections to the battery are tight. You might rotate the side mount connection ever slightly to make sure it's really snug. I had a different headlight problem in my car that turned out to be a bad connection and I had one in a past car that was a poor ground. Power can be pretty sneaky, sometimes. Good luck. :seeya
