After going through a lot of chrome Taiwan wheels, which quality-wise, just didn't measure up, I went through HRE's facilility amd carefully considered Fikse. I went with Fikse, and I would like to dispel a couple of myths. The conventional wisdom was that Lingenfelter was (surprisingly) the cheapest on Fikses (which in most cases was true), but when I asked Nate at XtremeMotorsports (nate@xmotorsports.com) to give me his best price, it was actually better. The Fikses took about a month to be produced; on the Forum, I had seen some sentiment to the effect that the people at Fikse were jerks: once you bought their product, they disowned you. Well, I don't know about that, but I'll tell you that after my order was placed, everytime that I had a question of Fikse by e-mail, Travis Johnson at Fikse could NOT have been more responsive. If that's any indication of after-sale service, I think that I'll be OK. The wheels have arrived, and they are truly so beautiful that I don't want to put them on my wife's car (maybe a glass pate to make them a coffee table?). Anyhow, Xtreme and Fikse are OK in my book.

 wife's car  they would be going on my car
Fikse wheels are about the best wheel out on the market as of now, might get some flak from the HRE crowd, but the polished look of Fikse's on a Vette look so cool and so much more like a race car than HRE's, IMHO
Fikses are the best wheel IMHO weigh less than HREs and very well made. I have never worked with them but have always heard their customer service was good.
I have owned 2 sets of Forgelines and always had great customer services

I don't know about Fiske looking more like a race car than Hre. I bought a set of HRE 547's and it drastically changed the way my car looks. At stoplights, I get more looks from other people than I did before.
I was considering Fiske wheels. I just had my eye on the HRE's for about two years. I saw that Fiske had a design similar to the 547's but they only offered it in 19's. I stayed with 17/18. Since I had my eye on the 547's for so long I just bucked up and got a pair. Either way you go, Fiske or HRE, I don't think you can go wrong.

I hear from reliable resouces that Fiskes are made and Taiwan and then are assemebled in the US. So that whats its worth.
I just bought a set of Fikse Profil 5's (18x9.5 & 19x12) and I too called around looking for the best price. However I got the same price quote from everybody.....Nate, LPE, & MTI......Thunder Racing was the only one to beat everybody elses price by $380. But since i have done buiness with Nate before i decided to call Nate back and ask if he would do a price match......and sure enough he did. So i placed my order with him.
Also Fikse's Customer Rep Travis Johnson has always been friendly and customer oriented.....even after a 45 minute phone call. So Fikse is  in my book. :steering:
When I had mini tubs installed on my Vette I talked to Jim Fikse about installing a 12in rim on my existing Fikse wheels. He talked to the shop that was doing the mini tubs to get the offset needed and turned the wheels around very quickly.
The experience was nothing short of high customer service. If you want a high quality wheel with GREAT customer service you can not go wrong with Fikse wheels.
good luck keeping them round.....I've heard they are a soft wheel.....
Hence the lightweight :p:
"Soft" and "Light" don't go hand-in-hand......just because it's one doesn't mean it's the other.....
I have a close friend with FM10s on his Tacoma and I can assure the wheels after a curb incident or 2 are not soft.
I drove my friends Z06 today while he drove mine. He has had his repaired as best as possible (they are only 6 months old, never been curbed) and they still are not round......these of course aren't SUV rims, they are sports car "low profile" tire wearing rims....not a rim with a 5" sidewall.......
