I am having difficulty installing an RD Racing HARDBAR. I have sent a message to them but am hoping for a more immediate response from fellow members who might have installed one.
I have the seatbelt brackets on but when I installed the metal bars that install under the seat rails they don’t seem to fit. I tried and tried and even loosened the front seat rail bolts and moved the seat track as far forward as possible but I could not get the rail to lay down to expose enough threads to start threading the nut on. It would seem to me the bar is bent to soon and not allowing enough clearance for the seat rail to lay flat. Please see the links to pictures I have provided. http://techvelocity.com/gtp/harness.jpghttp://techvelocity.com/gtp/harness2.jpg
Re: Has anyone installed an RD Racing HARDBAR? (GTP)
Hmm. I didn't seem to have that problem. The bars seemed a little long in general, but when I bowed the bars with a little bit of pressure, they fit fine.

Aaron, I installed it in two coupes, a '98 and an '01, and had no problem with the fit of the vertical straps. I'll look at the fit tomorrow morning and see if it looks different from your pictures. Maybe Dave punched the holes in yours a little off  By the way, I remove all four bolts when I do the job, since I have to lift the driver seat up and tilt it to install the lap harness mount under the regular seat belt receptacle.
Checked this morning - the stud is slightly sticking out from the top of the nut. It all just seems to fit ok, so I don't know what's up with yours. Maybe it is something to do with the carpet on yours.
