Why so little torque
My car runs great. However, my torque numbers seem low. 387RWHP and only 361RWTQ. I have the following mods. Ported heads with 2.02 and 1.57 valves, Lunati mild cam, ported TB and MAF. True ram air, LT headers with gutted cats and B&BTri-Flow. LS6 intake. Which is more likely to have the most effect on torque, heads or cam. I have 3.90 gears so they help compensate for the low TQ numbers. I was just wondering if anyone could comment. Also, if there are any East coast vendors who will guarantee the 400HP and torque numbers they claim, contact me so we can setup an appointment.

The gears will lower both your rwhp and rwtq. The numbers really dont sound that bad at all. The biggest mistake is using too mild of a cam. With the PCM on these cars, you can have an aggressive cam and not have drivability issues. My car starts fine, idles fine, and drivers better than stock. My numbers are in my sig. :iagree: with Joe, the 390s are probably costing you 15/15 rw hp & tq, the cam is probably holding you back, you did not mention what car you have by the numbers you are quoting I would think you have a six speed, but with a cam I would think you should be over 400 of each.
