WTF... code from PCM--P16131 H C ????
anyone know what this code is?? Car wouldn't start at all, been having trouble with the key cylinder lock(put key in... nothing having to wait 3 minutes for the security feature override) cleaned it with electronics cleaner, still nothing :crazy: :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

I think you meant a P1631 .... correct?
PCM is getting an incorrect password from the BCM. The engine will not crank or start with this DTC present.
Usually caused by use of an incorrect key; if the BCM has been replaced and the PASSWORD LEARN procedure has not been performed; the 2001 manual warns that aftermarket devices recently added to the electrical system may be a cause also.
If none of the above apply ... then you have to perform the Theft Deterrent Diagnostic.

The only site I know of is:
http://www.autotap.com/codes.asp
They list most of the PCM (or equivalent for other manufacturer's) codes with a short description. Doesn't list any causes or trouble shooting information.
They seem to have a number of the other GM codes for Body and Chassis DTCs .... last time I tried they only had engine codes for Ford.
Maybe someone else knows a site??? Please post if you do :jester
Last, I found that the purchase of the Service Manuals was a really good investment. The dealer can't BS me on what is happening with the car, and you'd be amazed at the difference in attitude when you walk in knowing the codes, the reason for them, and what the dealer has to do to troubleshoot/fix the problem !! :D

Steve, I believe I'm going to get a service manual ASAP!!!!
Last, I found that the purchase of the Service Manuals was a really good investment.
