Help with P0420 code
I keep getting this code. The cars runs fine still like nothing is wrong. It seems like I get the code after getting on it a few times. I thought it was for my cats since I gutted them a couple months ago and kept resetting it. Well I finally looked it up and this is what it tells me;
P0420 TWC System Low Efficiency Bank 1-A
Oh by the way it'sa a '98 A4 if that matters at all.

jason, according to my 98 FSM it is your catalytic converter.
it states, "when a DTC P0420 sets it indicates that the three-way catalytic converters oxygen storage capacity is below a threshold considered acceptable".
