I'd clear all the codes and see if it comes back. Every once in a blue moon, I'll get a cascade of codes like that. I clear them and that takes care of it. Usually, it's just one parameter that goes out of tolerance just long enough to set a code. That one code ends up setting off all the other codes. Sometimes one thing will affect a whole slew of others. It ends up looking way worse than what it really is with all those codes flashing at you.
My 2001 Manual does not list a P0441 code ... and in your original post you list a P0440 .... I think the list at that link is kinda old.
Anyway, a P0440 is:
The evaporative emission system (the system that prevents gasoline vapor from escaping from the fuel system) is tested by the PCM at various times to ascertain that the EVAP system is working properly.
Part of this test is the "large leak test" where the PCM commands the EVAP canister purge valve OPEN, and commands the EVAP vent valve CLOSED. This causes engine vacumn to draw pressure from the system. The PCM monitors the descending pressure using the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor. At a calibrated time or vacumn level, the PCM commands the EVAP purge valve CLOSED and monitors the system vacumn. If the system is unable to achieve the calibrated vacumn level, the PCM will set DTC P0440.
The diagnostics for this are long, but basically it calls for an inspection of the EVAP system for:
1) looose, missing, o0r damaged service port dust cap and/or schraeder valve
2) loose, damaged, etc. fuel filler cap
3) damaged EVAP canister purge valve
Also inspect under the vehicle for disconnected or damaged EVAP pipes and hoses.
It is possible that if you clear the code it won't reappear, but if it does, the EVAP system should be checked.
All the other codes you list appear to be electrical voltage issues with various parts of the car ... they sound to me like you may have been running for a while with low voltage sensed by the Body Control Module.
I'd clear these and watch to see if they reappear. If they do, check your battery connections to be sure the connections are good. The U1161 indicates that the Door Modules dropped off the data network, so check the connections for those too.
Actually, I did have the battery replaced under warrentee cause it died a few times.
I had the power window regulators replaced last summer as well.
This would explain the electrically related "history" codes.
As far as the EVP, a reset cleared the check engine light so I'll keep an eye on that one...
Thanks guys.
This forum ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P0440, make sure the gas cap is installed correctly, drive it a few days, the light should go out.
Otherwise you might have an EVAP system leak.
The now flow during purge is likely a bad flow sensor.
Older Vettes used a purge diagnostic switch. It is inline with the purge solenoid and senses the change in pressure during purge.
If the switch sticks the computer will think there is no flow with the purge solenoid commanded open. You could have it checked but I have seen those switches fail alot.
It's under the left hand engine cover between the #5 and #7 injectors.
It's a clunky looking thing with a 2 wire connector on it.
Following the EVAP line forward you will see the purge solenoid then a line that goes to the intake on the left side right by the throttle body.
