Default Another headlight motor bad WTF?

What is the deal here? I had just replaced the rightside motor about 4 months ago, now tonight I hear the all too familiar grinding sound coming from the left one. :banghead: :cuss :cuss :cuss

Does anyone know where is the cheapest place to order a new one? Thanks for all the help

Forum Dealer - Fichtner Chevrolet.

Or you could get lucky and find someone in parts for sale forum that just went with non-popups and has an extra motor.

Mine has been replaced 3 times...

Right side on my 2000 coupe, it seems that the replacement parts are of lower quality than the original equipment.

Fortunately I am still under warranty (bought an extended warranty).

Ecklers has em for $189, AC Delco unit

unfortunately I have no warranty. At almost $200 a pop, they are not cheap. It is $$$ I could be putting into making more ponies. I replaced my last one with the Eckler's one. Was just wondering if there was a cheaper one, or a higher quality one out there. Thanks

This is just another reason why pop up lamps are bad. They are heavy, they don't illuminate well, and the BREAK!!!

Think that I might need to start considering non-popup lights. Anyone have any luck or a particular model that they like? When 2 go bad within 4 months of each other, that is about $400 I could have bought a cam with or put towards a non-popup setup that I won't have to replace the motors.
Thanks for the support

I understand this will not be happening with the new C-6's. Fixed headlights. :yesnod:

Thanks BackSpacer_C5, this is a lot better price. The sting doesn't hurt as bad now, still sucks but the less $$$$ spent to fix it will help out. Thanks again
