Radiator Pressure Cap change?

Radiator Pressure Cap change?
Thinking that I might have a problem with my radiator/coolant surge tank a fellow forum member suggested that I change my pressure cap. I therefore went over to my local Chevy dealer and the parts manager looked up the part number (for an '01) and issued me the cap ($9). However, when I opened up the box and checked out the cap it said 18 PSI on it and not 15 PSI like the original one. I then went to the showroom floor and checked under the hood of a brand new '03 yellow Z06 and its pressure cap read 15 PSI. I also checked a used '01 convertible on the lot and its cap read 15 PSI. What's going on here? The parts manager re-checked the number and said that it appears GM has changed the pressure to 18 PSI now. Anybody have any info on this and why?
