Are all C5 differentials interchangable?
Sorry to ask what must be a newbie question - I couldn't turn up the answer in a search.
I wanted to ask - do all C5 rear diffs interchange? i.e. can a guy with an A4 bolt on a diff from a C5, and there's nothing to worry about interchanging?
Fellow with an A4 is selling his 4.10 rear diff, and I was curious if it was a 100% bolt on to my MN6 car.

Actually what you want to do with the 4.10 diff will work. I believe Diff's are interchangeable but ring and pinions are not. Stock 2.73 ring and pinions are not interchangeable with any higher ratio. 3.15 carriers and 3.42's can be upgraded. I'd double check before buying if you've got the 2.73 carrier.
