Default A4 Tranny & LS1 Edit - Experienced users needed

I was told that the with LS1 Edit, you can program the A4 Tranny to hold 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear, without doing any damage to the tranny itself. From what it sounded like , the guy was saying that it can duplicate the functions a transgo shiftkit would do.... I was a bit skeptical since, the transgo shiftkit requires modification to the valve body.

Anyways, any truth to this statement?

Thanks

What do you mean HOLD 1st,2nd,3rd gear? With the LS1 Edit you can firm up the shifts, change the shift time, change the shift points by RPM & or MPH. etc.

Well, if you have a transgo shiftkit, you can downshift to 3rd, or 2nd, and be able to hold that gear, without damaging the trans.

Supposedly you can make this change with LS1 Edit, without the requirment of installing a shiftkit. :skep:

Zack I have done the trans tuning and have never heard this?
Also have Transgo and I don't recall anything about holding 3rd.
There is no comparison between ls1 tuning and trans go
It shifted good after LS1 TUNING
NOW it shifts GREAT with trans-go
Try it !

I don't believe that the LS1 Edit has that capability. The TRANSGO will because it IS a mechanical modification of the valve body . :yesnod:
