I jump it and run for a couple hours turn it off and 10 minutes later it wont start with out a jump . take it to the dealer and they can't find anything wrong with it.
Its going back to the dealer. anyone got any ideas?
thanks. :seeya

Have you tried putting a charger on it overnight? It may be your battery is just never catching up. An overnight charge will give a pretty good idea if the battery can recover.

Re: dead battery, help (myredcorvette)
Buy a battery tender........it will maintain a fully charged battery without over charging it. When you discharge a battery too far, it does something to the make-up of the battery, even with an overnight charge, the battery is never the same.
Leave the car at the dealer overnight or have it put on a rollback when it won't start and then let the dealer see it when it when the problem's present. My .02.

:iagree:
130 miles a month is not enough to keep the battery charged. Each time the battery is discharged, it ends up with less capacity. Driving it for a few hours after a jump won't do it, either. During that 10 minutes after you shut it down, the map lights are burning, that's probably enough to drain your weak battery. Get a tender!
If you are going to continue to let it sit and don't want a tender, then disconnect the battery or get a deep cycle, at least it won't be damaged by being discharged. :yesnod:
thanks everyone for the replys. Took the car to the dealer today and they put in another new battery, guessing that the other (old) battery wont hold a charge. I hope this fixes it. Its a real pain to have to jump a new Corvette out on the road and a Mustang comes by honking and laughing!!
