I need a clutch like now and wonder if its something I can do myself? Any recommendations on which one to go with? Also a aluminum flywheel since I am going to be right there? Thanks, Randy
i have a spec stage 3 with 20k miles. The clutch holds like no tomorrow, but also barks like a herd of pissed off seals on occasion. I also have the alum. flywheel. Needs a little more gas to get the car going, but it revs quick
I would NOT reccomend that you change your own clutch ..It's a PITA job and takes over 4 hours with a fully equipped shop and trained techinicians.
There are a few members here on the forum like Phil that have changed there own clutches..Maybe they can give you there thoughts based on first hand experience.
Whatever you do make sure that you have your clutch assembly and flywheel balanced before installation..It's money well spent !
Good Luck

P.S I see that you live in Chula Vista , why don't you just bring it to Lawton @ Topflight..He will do a great job on the install.
