ALTERNATOR WONT CHARGE?
IVE HAD MY ALTERNATOR ON MY 98 COUPE TESTED SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS FINE AND IVE ALSO REPLACED THE BATTERY. HOWEVER THE ALTERNATOR WILL NOT CHAGE THE BATTERY AND MY VOLTMETER READS ONLY 11.5 VOLTS. IM PUZZLED.

I don't know how you're testing your alternator, but from what I read in your post, it sounds like it's toast! While driving, your voltmeter should read 13-14 volts. Provided the battery is OK, I'd say it's time for a new alternator.

How are you testing your alternator? If you check voltage at the battery while running you should read approx. 13-14.5 volts. If you have that then there would appear to be a problem with the guage or related wiring. Do you have any problems starting the car? If you don't have those readings then you should make sure you're getting voltage to the alternator before you condemn it. An alternator needs voltage to produce current. ;)
