"Vette" magazine wrote an article about the Magnaflow exhaust gains on a 99 C5. My question is: Is the exhaust the same on the 2003 C5 as the 99. Furtermore, is the H pipe on the newer C5s better or the same as the older cars. Thanks in advance for any help.

Interesting... I have a 99MY C5 - what were the findings???
I think the only difference in the exhaust is that the 1999 also had "pre-cats" in addition to the cats and I don't think the 2003's hav ethe pre-cats. The H-pipe is essentially the same as far as I know.
Keep in mind that some of there gains in the article can possibly be attributed to normal wear on the exhaust system. In other words, changing out a 4 year-old exhaust system (1999) should show slightly better improvements than changing out a practically brand-new system.
I changed my 2003 coupe to Stinger's and a Magnaflow X-pipe and love the change. Not sure how much, it helped the H.P.(made several mods at the same time) but it certainly did improve the sound enough to make it worthwhile.
