I just got finished putting 2 cans of top engine cleaner in the intake hose and now I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to crank it back up. I used C5 Tech's method and pictures from this thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zero...=501685&page=1. I used Sea Foam from Napa since they were open on Sunday. :)
I had alot of white smoke while pouring the top engine cleaner in and I'm wondering if this is normal?

After reading the thread I have a dumb question:
What happens to your Catalytic Converter after this process? If you are running the engine while pouring this stuff in it, are you sure that none of it reaches the CC unburned?
Glad its working out. As far as the white smoke, I got a little bit of fumes i guess...but nothing like billowing white smoke.
Let us know how the finale goes.

Yup, a good writeup (I like close-ups) :D.
Started it up this morning and the smoke kept billowing out of the rear for several minutes. I went on a spirited drive, and it took several WOT runs to get the rest out. Then I did a couple extra WOT runs just to be REALLY sure.
My impressions is that I had a noticable improvement in the smoothness of my idle and revs. It might take me a couple of days to really test out if it cured my hesitation probs, though. I'm also curious to see if my MPG improves. I've learned from reading the archives that it might take a few weeks to see the full benefits from the decarb.
My time/money wasn't wasted! I think my C5 really needed this, especially since it has 45k mi on the odo. :yesnod:
