Bilsteins on the rear only?
I got some new rear Bilstein shocks for the rear of the vette. Will it hurt to only run the rear with the stock C5 shocks up front? I have the upgraded/selectable suspension. Thanks in advance for the advice. :yesnod:
Bad idea.
You need to match the front and rear. Otherwise your car will not be balanced.
It will try to swap ends.
That is not a good thing.
Suspension needs to be engineered as a complete package.
ccajun, I bought all four but ran out of time half way through the install and only had them on the rear. The front and rear were fighting each other. The car drove, but you could feel that the balance was WAY off.

Re: Bilsteins on the rear only? (adrnln1)
THANKS TO ALL for the advice  How much will it cost me to get these installed? I have no idea about shocks since I have never had to replace any. My car has 50k on it. Do I need to replace shocks? Can I let the shocks sit in the garage until I need them? Is there a shelf life on them?
I have done it a few times.
Pretty straight forward.
Last time I took pictures and refined my technique.
I will do a writeup soon.
I will keep you posted.
