update, I contacted Corvettes of Dallas and spoke to Jeff. He allayed my fears and stated that the shop didn't know what they were talking about. The reason I went to that shop was on the recommendation of Dan of Corvette Specialties (take it how you want). COD was very professional and has a good reputation. Therefore, I will take the car from Austin to Dallas and drive a rental for a week just so I am assured the work will be done right the first time. I want to be able to punish it for another 100k. This forum is awesome because of the wealth of knowledge and the members willingness to share it. I think shops should be exposed for what they are. We need to hold them accountable for their shifty practices. This is my baby, and I don't just let anyone work on her. :D
