Lap Trax TracActive controller ?

Any users of this , or similar product, to disable traction control and active handling ??? Opinions and experience welcome :yesnod: :yesnod: :steering:

I have it and it works great. It was an easy install and now I am always in "comp" mode. Just one less thing to think about....

there are two versions available; one will reset the DIC display so it isn't always showing "Competitive Driving"... and one does not.

don't think so. It's made to place you in the Competitive Driving mode; which disables traction control but leaves AH operational.

'Nuff Said - I'll order it. HeyBrent, thanks for the opinion! Will it shut down AH and TC? . . . . BTW - I installed a Cloyes HexAdjust timing set, degreed the cam (asymmetrical lobes so had to check @ .050"intake and exhaust- opening and closing...PIA!) and checked PTV clearance over the weekend. Minimum clearance .080 and .100" int/ exh. Slowly but surely. ;) :D :thumbs:

Glad to hear you a making progress bud! :thumbs:

As far as disabling both - I believe you can configure it to do that. But it comes with a default config to just disable TC, other wise known as Comp Mode.

For you guys saying that you dont mind pressing the button and holding it everytime - I understand your position. BUT - when you race quite often - it will only take a few times to forget to hold the button and loose a race due to TC kickin in on you and you will realize piece of mind is priceless! :D

Also - once you have it (and forget you ever needed to press a button for Comp Mode) you will not want to drive (agressivly) without it! :lol:

That's like forgetting to clamp the top back down...just something you don't forget! Still don't see it being worth more than 30-40 bucks, but for those who do, good for you.
