I know I have seen this posted in here before but I need pictures of the amount of grinding that needs to be done to put a set of 16" wheels with ET streets on my 99 FRC. My car has baer eradi-speeds on it if that matters, if anybody has the pictures of the grinding process I would really appreciate it. Thanks Bob
The grinding is pretty minimal.. just the outer edge of the upper control arm and the cap of the ball joint. Many folks just use a ball peen hammer to "adjust" the ball joint cap.. and a small rotary grinder or dremel to remove the "corner" of the upper control arm, on the outside upper edge.
The way I've found easiest is to use a dry erase marker, and color the ball joint cap area and the upper control arm area. Try to fit the wheel, remove the wheel and look for where the marker was removed. Grind, reapply marker, repeat..
It is really quite easy. I'll look for some pics..
Does anybody have pics. of the amount of grinding that had to do? What are most peoples opinions on wheel spacers?, I have found a set of 1/4" spacers here local, will I need different studs? I'm going to the drag strip tonight after work and want to make sure I don't break something because of a bad decision. Bob
