I've never really had to really slam the brakes until 2 days ago when some dumb @#$ stopped in the middle of a busy street. Anyway, I stomped the brakes and I heard and felt a type of 'grinding/popping' sound. It's hard to describe the sound and feeling in the brake pedal, but it's not like the brakes pads are worn. I found a lonely straight and tested the brakes again from 50 mph - 0. Once ABS kicked it I felt it again. Does anybody know what the heck I'm talking about and it this normal?
Another test would be to get your wife/gf to stand in the middle of the road while you do a 50-0 stop as you drive towards her......just to see if she hears anything :steering:
