So last night, me and my G/F do the normal dinner and a movie deal and while leaving the movie theater at about 12am, I go through this huge puddle and there is crap all over the car. We get home a little while later and while most people simply go inside, I have to pull out the hose and start to wash my car!! My G/F is conviced I am nuts!!!!! I mean the entire neighborhood is dead quiet, the crickets are going at it and here I am with a hose in one hand and the wash mit with soap suds in the other!!
Please tell me I am not going CRAZY!!!! :banghead:
No you're quite normal! :D I've done this a few times. Especially after my new blue paint job was rained on. I washed the car IN THE RAIN at 2 a.m then pulled it in the garage to dry it off and z6 it.
Nope - I cant agree that you're nuts. If I did I would be implicating myself.
Have had similar behaviour since first 'Vette twenty years ago and I havent spent a night in a padded cell yet! :lolg:
I always wash at night. I never get any water spots from the water drying:) The neighnours don't much care for my leaf blower at 10pm but you know what .......$@&! 'em, I need a clean car
When I bought my coupe, I drove straight through from St. Louis to San Diego. About 20 minutes from home, some guy loses a radiator hose in front of me and gives my shiny black c-5 a bath in coolant. Needless to say, I was home all of 5 minutes before I was washing the car at 2:00 a.m.. Yes, my wife understands the sickness.
Normal...i washed my car at 2pm with a 88 degree day....2 hours later i could not breath and was short of breath....a week later i did the same thing...
I must be crazier than all of you as I wipe down my wheels,(including the inside rim) and anything else that needs cleaning EVERY time I drive my car and of course my car has never seen rain and sits in a heated garage alongside my 33 Plymouth (11 time National show winner) that I am just as obsessive about. My car is much cleaner than when it was new. My wife left me but my girlfriend completly understands, and even helps me (no matter what time it is)! Crazy? Yeh, I'de say... :steering:
