Car won't shift from Park!! Ugh
Unless I play around with it, its been getting harder and harder to press the button? When I bought the car it already had the column lock fix, what should I do? I find pressing the brake firm, and pushing it up before down to get it out of park! :mad

One of our local members had this happen the other day and it disabled his car at the car wash. He had to remove the console to get to the shifter. At the front of the shifter (nearest the dash), there is an electrical connector. He unplugged, then replugged this connector and it fixed his problem.
It's worth a try, and a heck of a lot cheaper than the dealer.

Did he do this while the car was running in park? Does it matter if the car or the key switch is on or not? Thanks a lot!

I'm pretty sure the car was off. I'd certainly turn it off before trying this.

Dash out, console out, shifter boot up, and with some "techies" on the phone helping me, I found a plug, connecting two wires, between shifter and dash that must have been connected to the solenoid. Though it appeared plugged in, I unplugged it, replugged it, tested it, and I was able to shift again.
I recently had work done in the area and my guess is that is became loose during that time and took a week to completely disconnect.
