Just wondering what anyone knows about the "CNC" ported LS6 heads being sold by Jim Pace. Considering they don't require an "exchange", this seems like an exceptional deal. I understand they do not have bigger valves and I assume they are not hand massaged. None the less, these are LS6 heads and they are ported. Opinions?
Dugmole- I've learned....slowly! I'm so slow..I load up the thread I want to reply to twice ( if I anticipate a longer time interval needed)!! I then can check it by "reloading/refreshing" before I post. That's Slowww.

I know. Sometimes I feel like its a ebay auction, 4 or 5 windows open trying to gather all of the information. I do like your ideas on the heads. I have been looking at the stage 2 heads for quite sometime but could never bring myself to plunk down the 2+ large. On top of that I'll still have my "cores".
Pace says 11.2:1 compressio ratio Thats the only thing that scares me about these heads.
Should be no problem on 93 octane. LS6 heads have very efficient combustion chambers .I checked multiple sites, threads and with Forum members, about CR and detonation before I bought them. :yesnod:
Actually the CR will be a little higher... mine cc'd at 58.5 cc, not the 60cc stated by distributors.
I put my stock LS6 heads in the boxes the ported came in. I agree- Sure is nice not needing cores. :yesnod:

In Western Missouri your lucky to see 92 octane at best. :U
OUCH!! Sorry, man..........Can you relocate? Seriously, I don't know what a single point drop in octane would result in- as far as detonation goes. I do know there is a formula that is used for octane standardization. Maybe someone will chime in with OCTANE knowledge???

I do have a set of these in my shop now (LPE CNC ported with stock valves.). If you would like true flow numbers on them drop me an e-mail. I expect to get them flow tested later this week or the first of next. As they are, they have some bent/broke valves. I need to get the bent stems out and put a valve in place to test them first.
