Looking for comments on my exhaust plans
I'd like to wake up the sound of my C5 a bit. After doing a bunch of research, I've decided to go with (from heads to mufflers:)
- LG Headers with cats
- LG X-Pipe
- Z06 Ti Exhaust
For the moment, the LG headers are a bit rich for my blood. I am pretty set that that's what I'd like in my car however. I should be able to swing the Ti before too long.
My main question is this: Should I wait to do the X-pipe when I do the Long-tube headers, or can I do it along with the Z06 exhaust? Are there any fitment issues to worry about with the LG X-pipe to the stock headers/cats, and/or to the Z06 exhaust?
Further, any suggestions or obvious things I may have overlooked on that choice of exhaust setups?
Thanks for any help,
-Jake
:)
no, I wasn't planning on using stock cats, I was going to use LG's Random Tech cats that come with their kit, and the off-road pipes if I ever saw fit for that.
ASP Z:
you are saying that the longtubes terminate in the same spot as the stock manifolds (i.e. where the stock H begins), making everything a swap-in/swap-out?
The idea of doing the LT's first hadn't ocurred to me - that's not a bad idea.
Thanks!
