For some reason, when I floor the gas, the engine revs up normally then suddently bogs down about 300-1000 rpm. It does it in every gear, and the effect is exaggerated the lower the rpm I start in.
Lets say I'm driving in 4th gear at about 60 mph at 2500, if I floor it, the engine surges up then bogs back down to about 2000 as my speed increases, and there is a significant loose of top end power.
Also sometimes if I hit it hard in first in will bog right of the start almost like the fuel isn't getting in there. Its mostly on the top end though.
Traction control off/on makes no difference.
AC on/off has no effect.
I don't race or even get my car over 5k much at all, I just noticed it because I decided to do a little tire smoking on the highway on the way home and test my speed shifting.
Actually that was a first thought, though I wanted other opinions before I posted it. That's what I was afraid of. Well 38k I guess its time. Z06 here I come - great how much are those now.
