Detonation/Error code?
Hi- I think my 99 FRC might be pinging a little in 5th and 6th gears under heavy load however, no error codes. If my knock sensors were defective would I get an error code on that? If they're working and the car pings would I get an error code?

In general, yes, you will code if the sensors fail. There's no "excessive knock" DTC, so no just because you're hearing knock doesn't mean you'll see a code. You might see something depending on the source though, say if you were overheating for example. Sources like carbon build-up probably won't trip any codes.
