Z06 TRANS CLUTCH PROBLEMS??
Hey have any of you guys had problems with your 2002 Z06's hanging in any gear? Mine gets hung in 4th intermittently. I can smack it and get it out, but then it seems like it wont go into any gear and just grinds. It also seems like I can pump the clutch a few times and it might go into a gear. Then sometimes it works pretty close to correctly. Sound familair? I am going to take it in for warranty, just wanted a heads up on any common problems before I had to argue with the service department. Thanks....

Mine got stuck in 4th and it could not even be forced out. I saw there is a tech service bulliten about it, so I took it to my dealer and told em about it and they fixed it with upgraded parts no questions asked. :cheers:

Well I called the dealership and gave him my VIN and he said there were no bulletins or recalls in that are of my 2002. Whats up with that? I am going to take it to the dealer on monday. I have to remove my B & M shifter. I dont think it would eb a good idea to take it in with a trans problem and an aftermarket shifter. Any documents or bulletin numbers from your problem?? Thanks for the info!!

Yes I did have a TSB number, all I gotta do is dig around and find it for you. Its funny your putting the stock shifter back in where i brought mine in with the hurst on and all the other mods in my sig :crazy: :lol: . To be fair I know the tech at the dealer....he has a 10sec 97 magnacharger vette and is a great guy with warrenty work.

Broken synchronizer strut keys. Tremec uses a cheap stamped key and they have a high failure rate. I have the fix for this problem in my upgraded units as well as other fixes. Anyone interested E-mail me for more info. :D
