The TR220, TR224 or the MTI B1 would be good choices among many others if you are concerned with driveability & valve train reliability. A good rule of thumb would be to limit the duration to no more than 224 and the lift to no higher than the 560s if driveability and durability are big concerns. If you are going to be installing a cam you should also consider installing a good high stall converter with at least 3.42 gears.

Re: Looking for Realistic Performance Cam (FL1BY)
Hi
Give us a call. We have every flavor of cam from a 221/224 560 liift, to our 232/240 600 lift. We have a cam package that will work for you. We don't just do the all out monster packages. We have plenty of daily driver mid range cams that still yield 26 mpg +.
Plus we sell both kinds of headers that you are considering.

:iagree: My MTI B-1 cam picked up 25rwhp w/ no other mods and has been trouble free for at least 30K miles now. Plus MTI has a no-hassle warranty on parts and labor with a caveat - no NOS or FI mods.
