How hard is the install on a supercharger? Can a semi knowledgable backyard mechanic do it or mabey a chev dealer do it ? There are no supercharger dealers here so I would have to order it and have it installed here.

Check out the C5 Forced Induction/Nitrous section for varied answers to your question. It also depends on which S/C you have in mind. IMHO, the Magnuson would be the easiest install, but you also would then need a new hood. Other than the install, there's lots of debate as to which S/C is the "best." Good luck. :seeya
