What are you trying to accomplish with it?
When I used it I was trying to get rid of the noisy fuel pump (went away for a little while) but came back.
(2) Get rid of the dreaded fuel gage going to E. (Has not been acting up lately)
But it did smooth out the idle a little bit.
Just a couple of experiences with red line hope it helps
The GM corporate line is that you should never use any kind of additive. I think this is a KYA lawyer position. At times, like the tank of gas before you change your oil, it is probably good to add some RedLine or Chevron Techron. Clean injectors are happy injectors!! :D
I have used Redline Fuel Injection Cleaner for the last 10 years and never have had a fuel related problem. At presant I use it in my 00 C5 and in my big block suburban and my wifes 03 Impala. Usually I run a bottle about every 5th tankful or when we are on a long run trip on the hiway
Don't want to wreck the day but since I drive 90K a year on average and including the 84 (signature) never used any of that stuff and NEVER had an injecter related problem. I couldn't have been that lucky, think it's a waste of money. :nono:

I have a buddy that delivers Shell (I use Amoco and Mobil). He tells me most brands pick up at the same terminal. The difference is the additive package he puts in. He said the majors all have packages but some of the wholesale people delivering to the cut rate stations don't add a thing. So maybe fuel cleaner is good for people that buy cut rate. I like Amoco and Chevron when I travel. Last I knew they both use Techron and that is supposed to be one of the better cleaners. I haven't used an extra cleaner since I decided to stay with name brand gas.
I wish I had some facts....like before and after top of piston pictures.
I have used the Redline FI cleaner for 15 + years.
Redline has good PR so I am sure there product doesn't suck. Chevron Techroline (sp) additive is also well like.
At times I have placed a full bottle into a full tank with no ill effect. Other times I would just add the 4oz to 8 gallon (or whatever) the label specified.
It is only $4.95 a bottle where I live and I was planning on driving 200 miles tomorrow and was going to buy a bottle.
Of course I default to the ole "blow the carbon out" theory and the cleaner logically fills that belief.
Being s stocking Red Line dealer I can attest to the value that Vette folks place on red Line people buy it by the case and we sell quite a bit here local.
Now the admission I use and have used for many years techron, every other oil cahange right before,I add a large can of it to my tank and as soon as I run through it I change my oil to 10-40 red line aand check 2 plugs randomly on each cylinder bank.Very often it cleans enough dirt that it will adhere to your plugs specially in forced air/Nitrous motors, for 20.00 lets not skimp.
I myself do it every 6k plugs and all.
On my next oil change I will use Red Line in the same way as Techron1 can and new plugs every 6k miles and some of my motors cost 50k including plumbing for turbos/s.chargers and n20.The feed back I get from my red line customers on all lubes watter wetter and gear lubes is nothing less than SUPER.
Have a wonderful Dads Day 480-517-4969/mike@xmotorsports.com for tech info and ordering if you choose to,Dave S.
