Just curious, mine runs at around 194 and can get over 220 while sitting in traffic according to the computer. I was just wondering if this is normal cause Im moving to FL in August and was thinking about upgrading to a Be Cool radiator before I move. Any thoughts? Thanks

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I don't believe the fan even comes on until 230.
I wouldn't but a different radiator in, save your money. I would try putting distilled water and new anti freeze with 80% water 20% anit freeze, also Redline Water Wetter may help. The Redline is just an additive you add to you coolant. I don't think your going to have a problem, but if you want to try 160-170 degree thermostat that will do the trice, and if you want to go over board you can have your fans rest to come on at a lower temp. It all depends on what kind of driving your going to do
Re: What temp does your car run at?? (extremecorvette)
Your right in the ballpark with your temps, thats normal range. I think the stock fan is programmed to come on at 234 degree's. If I get stuck in fraffic mine will run right up to about 232 then the fan will kick in and the temp comes down real quick to about 200-205 degree's. If you turn your a/c on it will start coming down immediately as that causes the fan to run regardless the temp.
I live in FL already and I see the same temps that you do on a daily basis. It's rare that I sit in traffic for long, but the temperature does get up there if I don't have the A/C running. Since I almost always run the A/C on the days where the outside temp is > 85 - my coolant temperature almost never goes over 208 - 210. It only gets that high if I am stuck in traffic because of an accident in the dead of summer (which I try to avoid since I hate sitting in traffic).
I live in Florida already, and I put on a 160 thermostate and added Redline Water Wetter, and my temp is usually 178, a big improvement. I haven't even adjusted the fans yet, so I don't think you will need a new radiator. If you don't like your car running in the 200's, and I didn't, then just put in a 160 thermostate. Welcome to the sunshine state
