Default 422 down 40HP AND 40TQ

I recently dynoed my car to see what the was at the wheels, because it didn't feel as strong in 4th gear. The car made only 470 rwhp and 458 rwtq. So now i want to what could have gone wrong. It still ran the same time it ran the first time out 10.75 @ 130.98 and now it went 4-5mph less and it was a hotter day. It was dynoed at Cartek at 510rwhp and 498 rwtq. Can you wounder what the car would run if the power was there. If any one has an idea let me know. One more thing, does any one have a problem with the idal staying high in tell you stop at a dead stop.

Maybe you should run back up to Cartek and see if there dyno will give you a better reading, could be the dyno.

well what i would have done is check your DIC to see if you have any error codes. then you could have checked the obvious that's visible such as a dirty MAF sensor from extra oil from the filter element of your intake, bad gas, clogged injectors, dirty air filter, clogged fuel filter, etc. does it have high mileage? tune-up? spark plugs, wires?

have you called cartek?

after a radical tune the computer still drifts to 'optimize' running. It may need to be updated. New idle issues often coincide with intake and A/F issues. Did you recently clean your filter and possibly clog it with too much oil?

Hmm you sure its not the dyno? Have you changed anything on the car at all? Like someone else suggested, check the air filter, also the AF ratio and timing.

I'd like to see some of those Cartek cars dyno at other places besides their shop.

Suggest you check your ltrims. If they have gone positive and your adding fuel at WOT it could cost a lot of power.

I did have the "cruise" effect. Your likely getting it when the car is warmed up?
Lower your running airflow in the idle and limiters table with Edit. Try -.25 at a time at 80*C and above. Drive at least 50 miles before you try again. See how the first try reacts. You might notice changes in warm starts etc. If you need more help, let me know. I'm sure others can help also. I ended up reducing mine by over 2.0.

I think what he means is that the idle stays higher say 1500/2000rpm when the clutch is in and you are slowing for a stop. My car occasionally "hangs" on a higher idle like this, but only if I have gone serious WOT, then slam on the brakes with the clutch in.

Your idle problem could be the result of a "relearn". It has happened to me before. If you disconnect your battery for any reason it may need a few miles to relearn and should come back to normal soon.

Partially sounds like a tuning issue. You should have the car autotapped to see how it is running.

With LS1edit you can play with the idle behavior. If your car takes a while to come down to a proper idle and it isn't a result of someone tuning it to do that...you could also have a vacuum leak. A piece of my pcv came disconnected and idle behaved like that until I reconnected it. Just a thought.

i know plenty that have. one of them being billy2kfrc. as a matter of fact his car dynoed a little higher at another shop in connecticut. it obviously has nothing to do with the shop dyno but something small with the car itself. having their very first 3 year old head and cam set-up myself i'm still running 11.5's at the track with no problems.

Yup, dynoed 457rwhp here in CT. And went 10.99 with a grinding tranny, definately making the power.

Freddy, if I understand you correctly, your car went 10.7 at 130 before, but now went 10.7 at 125 on a hot day? Also, you say it feels slower? I bet your car would make 470rwhp right now on Cartek's dyno as well, it probably just needs some re-tuning, call Cartek, Julio will fix you up.
