Like mentioned above, it depends on where you want to go. I think the minimum is changing the air intake system and some programming. All internal combustion engines are nothing more than air movers. The more air you can get in, the more you can move out. I did the Donaldson Blackwing and carbon fiber air duct. They seem to work well. There are others out there that are just as good I'm sure. As for PCM programming, there are a variety out there. I am a Superchips dealer so that's what I use. They just got their programmer done for the '03. I got one and installed it. They claim 30 hp. I don't know how much it is, but you can definitely feel it big time. The car seems to accelerate much faster and smoother. That covers a couple of basics. If you have a six speed, I would definitely change to a shorter throw shifter. It makes a big difference. I have the Hurst billet/plus and like it. I'm sure some of the others are fine too. After that, remember the air mover thing, you may want to think about headers and exhaust. To take it a step further, supercharge or turbocharge. Nitrous works well too, but you have to keep refilling the bottles and it can't be used with a tuner or anything that advances the timing. Enough for now. Hope this helps.
