Re: Anyone Recommend an Injector Cleaner? (chuckster)
Chuckster,
Chevron Techron Fuel System cleaner--as several others have/will post.
I got hooked on the stuff when I bought my first BMW, and the dealership mechanics recommended it. I now use it in both cars--every oil change (for me that is 4k miles/4 months).
Easier to get (any Walmart) than BG44K or Redline, and costs less.
Other good choices are Schaeffer Oil's Neutra fuel treatment, Amsoil's PI, or Lucas UCL and injector cleaner. I recommend using them regularily in smaller doses instead of one big massive dose.

Another Vote for BG 44-K
For the injectors, BG makes a spray that you spray into your MAF, that I have used. It works pretty well, but I have never taken the injectors out to check.

I use STP Fuel System cleaner in the silver, rectangular base since Motor Trend did an in depth BMW test with before and after pics of the heads. It was also recommended for the injectors. I'm not sure what a BMW test is.
[I] Fuel injectors deposits are not as much of a problem now as they were a few years ago. New injectors are more resistant to deposits and most gasolines, as poor as they are at controlling most deposits today, still can keep injectors (and carburetors) clean. STP Fuel System Cleaner works very, very well. Two bottles should have them spotless and will clean the valves, ports, and the combustion chambers. I]
