I live in Las Vegas where it is hot hot hot. I bought a 180 thermostat and know that I need to readjust the fan turn on temp. I don't want to buy a fan controller after talking to some of the guys on here. A good one is almost $200, a little less. So since I'm considering the purchase of a software or firmware edit device I'd like to know the forums opinion on which tool to invest in. I don't plan to adjust too many things like speedometer for gears or shift points. The cold flow intake goes on in a couple of days and I'll probably take the Flowmasters off and try the Borla Stingers.
Red Vet,
If all you're going to do is adjust the fan temp (and a few other things) I would suggest the HPP III. This puts the programming capability in your hands and lets you modify the settings as you see fit.

Thanks Guys
Borla Stingers would be an excellent switch. I realize you said your not interested in fine tuning but if your good with a lap top, A/F settings, etc., and have access to a dyno I would highly recommend the LS1 Edit program.
Yea, I switched from stock 195' Tstat to a 172' Tstat and observed no change until an editing was done to the PCM to set the fans on at 190' rather than the stock 220' setting.
BTW, I lived in Yuma, Az from 1982-1984. It does not get as hot in Central Texas as in AZ but the humidity where I'm at sux :mad
