Re: Anyone try a reverse split cam or thought about it...? (99Mongoose400SS)
Yes, I have run two different ones.. I replaced a typical single pattern cam with a reverse split and lost NO horsepower (within 3 of the single pattern) but picked up 50 ft-lbs of torque.
Since then, I have experimented with a few more radical reverse splits, with similar results.
I am a fan of these cams.. pick up torque at no loss to horsepower...
I have two for sale right now.. my last two.. I just keep going bigger and bigger...
Re: Anyone try a reverse split cam or thought about it...? (99Mongoose400SS)
The reverse split was a big fad a little bit ago. It seems that split cams like the G5X2 are becoming popular. Once a cam is posted that it performs good for an application, everyone jumps on it like sheep.
