Default Sway bar & ride height question

I bought my 2000 C5 used (recently). It has a 1" sway bar in the rear, and a 1 1/4" bar in the front. Would this be original equipment, as far as anyone knows? I'm still getting roll on the track and would like to stiffen it up. Any ideas?

Also, can someone help me figure out if I have a stock ride height? My car looks a little low to me, but I don't know what the stock ride height is, or how to measure mine. Any help?

Thanks for the reply. I'd be interested to hear how those work out for you. Are Z06 bars bigger than the hotchkins bars? Does the stock C5 have sway bars at all?

Hey Erin,

Welcome... good to see you finally registered... :hurray:

Anyway, yes all C5's come with sway bars... I'm not sure of the stock diameter although, I'm sure someone will chime in.

Also, for measuring your ride height... most folks measure from the fender lip to the ground down the center of the wheel... see pic. My stock ride height was 27 1/4" in front and 28 1/2" in rear.

later...
Rich

Erin - Check out these specs from NCM web site:

Lots of suspension specs in fairly readable form.

The Hotchkiss bars are hollow and if they are Hotchkiss they will have adjustable end links which is critical that they be set neutral. :chevy
